At Our Lady of the Way we know that learning a language has many benefits. Italian is taught from Prep to grade 6 in the standard curriculum program every week. Our Italian program teaches our students Italian as well as an appreciation and awareness of the Italian culture. The Italian program is delivered in lessons through games, singing, speaking, reading and listening. The emphasis on repetition is the key to any language learning, and in the case of Italian, expressive modelled language and gestures are communicated frequently in our weekly lessons.
